Our Love Story

We met at Liberty Bar in Seattle, the summer of 2016, where we connected instantly over our mutual love of art, design, music, travel, and Star Trek TNG. It was love at first sight, and we spent every moment we could together that week. At the end of which, we decided to make it Facebook official.

Soon after, we planned our first adventure: a ten day trip to Iceland for later that year. We’ve since made it a tradition to visit at least one new place each year and have an ever-growing list of new destinations.

We've introduced each other to new things along the way. Laura has been a dog lover since childhood and had two dogs when we met (Lola and Gizmo), while David went from not growing up with any pets at home to agreeing to adopt a third together, Ruby. He introduced her to many aspects of his Nigerian heritage, and she has since taken Igbo lessons, learned to cook jollof rice and meat pie, and become an avid Afrobeat and Nollywood fan.

It’s been an unprecedented year and we can’t wait to celebrate our union with you in person.
